Kerry Lewis is the founder of Lane Cove Pty Ltd trading as Laboratory Analysers Australia, having set up the company, Lane Cove Pty Ltd in 1993. Prior to 1993 Kerry had trained in Scientific Instruments at ICI Australia in Sydney, commencing in 1970 and later in Instrumentation and Control Engineering, working for Leeds and Northrup.
When ICI started their Scientific Instruments Division in 1985, Kerry re-joined ICI and moved to Perth Western Australia to head up the WA Operation. GBC Scientific Equipment Pty Ltd was a part of ICI and for 28 years, Kerry had represented GBC, the first 8 years at ICI and then at GBC Scientific Equipment WA (part of Lane Cove), after ICI sold their Scientific Instruments Division to GBC .
Since 1993 Kerry has grown his company from a one person operation looking after just Western Australia to a 12 person, multi-million dollar company operating throughout Australia and specialising in the mining industry in Elemental Analysis.
Being initially from a service background, Kerry has employed mostly service engineers to support his customers in both service and sales, believing that service engineers have a greater understanding of the operation of the equipment he supplies and consequentially are a greater asset to his customers.
